Matt has successfully completed both his Level 3 and Level 4 HNC apprenticeship, marking a significant milestone in his career at Magtec.

Starting with the company in 2019 as a school leaver, Matt has dedicated himself to honing his skills and knowledge, particularly in the areas of Battery and Controller technology. Throughout his apprenticeship, Matt worked on numerous projects focused on improving production efficiency, introducing new products, and maintaining high-quality standards across the business.

His responsibilities have spanned optimising manufacturing processes, developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and collaborating with various departments to tackle complex technical challenges. He also played a key role in improving workflow efficiency on the production floor, helping to reduce waste and increase overall productivity.

The apprenticeship has equipped Matt with in-depth knowledge of manufacturing systems, lean principles, and process improvement methodologies.

He gained technical expertise in CAD design, quality assurance, and project management, which he has applied directly to his work at Magtec. By identifying inefficiencies and proposing effective solutions, Matt has made a significant impact on both the company’s operations and the wider team.

The Engineering Manufacturing Technician apprenticeship has provided him with essential skills in manufacturing processes, planning and scheduling, engineering science, and sustainability. Matt’s achievements highlight his commitment to personal development and his contributions to Magtec’s success.

“Matt has shown incredible dedication and growth throughout his apprenticeship,” said Andy Gilligan, Managing Director at Magtec. “We are extremely proud of his progress and the positive impact he’s had on our operations. His hard work and technical expertise make him a valuable member of our team. Well done, Matt!”
