At Magtec, we are committed to providing valuable learning opportunities for our staff, ensuring they can grow professionally and reach their full potential. One shining example of this commitment is Lewis Appleyard, a Trainee Software Developer who has recently completed his Level 4 Software Developer apprenticeship with an impressive distinction grade! This outstanding achievement speaks volumes about Lewis’s dedication, passion, and the hard work he has invested in his professional development.

Throughout his apprenticeship, Lewis collaborated closely with Baltic Apprenticeships and successfully completed the rigorous City & Guilds assessments. His studies equipped him with a range of essential skills, from designing and building code to testing software solutions tailored to meet clients’ needs. Lewis has already proven his expertise by contributing to key software development projects at Magtec, showcasing his ability to apply his skills to real-world challenges.

One of the unique aspects of working at Magtec is the opportunity for hands-on experience across various facets of the business. Lewis has worked closely with our talented engineering team, gaining insights into both the technical and production sides of our operations. This exposure has not only deepened his technical knowledge but also sharpened his problem-solving abilities, enabling him to approach challenges with creativity and innovation.

Dan Lickes, Head of Software and Lewis’s line manager, shared his thoughts: “Lewis has demonstrated exceptional growth since joining Magtec. His unwavering commitment to learning and his enthusiasm for developing high-quality software solutions have been evident throughout his journey. It’s been a pleasure watching him evolve into a confident, capable software developer, and we are excited to see where his career will take him.”

Andy Gilligan, our Managing Director, added: “At Magtec, we are passionate about investing in our staff and creating opportunities for their personal and professional development. Lewis is a prime example of how, with the right support and training, our employees can achieve remarkable success. We are proud to be part of his journey and are eager to witness his continued growth within the company.”

Lewis’s success is not only a personal achievement but also a testament to Magtec’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. We are excited about the future contributions Lewis will make to our team and the projects we work on, and we look forward to seeing him reach even greater heights.

Congratulations once again, Lewis! Here’s to a bright and successful future ahead.
