Magtec was proud to take part in the Cadet Careers Fair at York College & University Centre on Saturday, 8th February 2025, coinciding with National Apprenticeship Week.
The event brought together Sea Cadets, Army Cadet Force, Air Training Corps, and Combined Cadet Force members aged 15½ -18, along with their instructors and parents, to explore career opportunities in engineering. We were delighted to showcase the exciting pathways available at Magtec, including apprenticeships in mechanical engineering, vehicle repowering, and software development.
The enthusiasm and curiosity displayed by the cadets were truly inspiring. Their problem-solving skills, teamwork, and discipline—qualities developed through their cadet training—are invaluable in engineering and innovation. It was fantastic to see so many young people eager to learn about electric vehicle technology and sustainable transport solutions.
Magtec remains committed to investing in the next generation of engineers. By engaging with young talent today, we are building a skilled workforce for the future of clean transport. Our a
pprenticeships provide hands-on experience, industry-leading training, and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge EV and hybrid technology.
A huge thank you must go out to York College, who were the event organisers, and all the cadets, parents, and instructors for making the fair such a great success. We look forward to welcoming some of these bright young minds into our workforce in the years to come!
“Thank you team MAGTEC/Magnetic Systems Technology Ltd for participating today and delighted to see the attention from the many Army Cadets UK | Official cadets.” Simon Banks-Cooper
