A bright, new working environment
We are increasing production at our new 65,000 sq ft design and manufacturing facility in Rotherham, South Yorkshire to meet growing international demand. Magtec serves customers in the global commercial vehicle, rail, defence and logistics industries.

Our projects are pioneering
We are delivering drive systems for electric refuse collection vehicles, autonomous and connected electric trucks and the rail industry’s first conversion of diesel multiple units.
Magtec is supporting the British Army’s programme to assess the benefits that hybrid military vehicles can bring to the battlefield of the future.

What is special about Magtec?
We are the UK’s largest electric vehicle drive system manufacturer and EVs are much in demand. Working for a company that is part of cutting-edge technology really gives you a sense of accomplishment for a greener future!
Your best Magtec experience to date?
There are many types of projects I have worked on from start to finish: refuse vehicles, autonomous driving trucks and trains. The rail project stands out due to its vastness and complexity. I was part of it from the start, from 3D scanning to raft design and manufacture.
Who is your favourite colleague?
I enjoy working with everyone at Magtec. It’s a really friendly atmosphere. Due to the nature of the business, I have the opportunity to work with everyone, from our knowledgable and passionate company owner to our teams in production, purchasing and fitting.

I like creativity and multidirectional tasks and the opportunity to develop my skills in different areas. A comprehensive approach and focus on finding an elegant solution are great motivators to make the most of your skills.
What is special about Magtec?
Being part of the team in the design and manufacture of next-generation technologies. I really want to make a contribution to the activities of an innovative company that, thanks to its universal and advanced technologies, reduces the negative impact of transport on the environment, taking care of the environment and the future of humankind, and setting ambitious goals in the development of production.
Your best Magtec experience to date?
Taking part in a new battery project, using advanced technology to produce complete battery prototypes for parallel testing with existing models, optimising design, manufacturing and reducing assembly time.
Who is your favourite colleague?
Magtec is a team of like-minded people and experts in their field. All colleagues are ready to provide support in resolving issues in different areas and mentoring.
